G'Day Sizzlers!

reschedule the Sizzler back to a Wednesday release. Mid-week
allows you all to get your fix of Sausage and try out some of our
suggestions before lazy weekends hit you! We have some great news
and articles you need to check out this week. All of them are
going to make your job as a webmaster more efficient!

After searching high and low for the best helpdesk software
available, we are happy to announce that we are implementing a
centralized ticketed support system. This will be implemented in
next couple of days, and will work from email and web based
forms. This wonderful new system was provided by Dan Ushman from
InverseFlow.com. As those of you who use it will soon see this is
a very comprehensive system that could be used for a number of
applications. Perhaps it is worth checking out for your own
needs?
You will notice we have a great hosting deal for Sausage Hosting
(see below), there are two reasons to go with this deal. Firstly
we are giving you all new clients the opportunity to save 25% off
your initial payment. Secondly anyone signing up by July 11th
will get our new content management system included in their
package for free. Other customers, developers and hosting
companies will be able to purchase this new product when it is
released next month. The power of an easy to use browser driven
content management system should help you with your own site or
the sites you hand over for clients to maintain. More exciting
details on this product soon.
Read, learn and implement!
Keep on sizzling!

Weighty Documents
I've read many times, and I'm sure you have too, that ‘content is
king’. But what good is that content if the pages on your website
takes too long to download and the user has gone elsewhere? The
main focus of all web site designers is to deliver compelling
content - and fast. Now, HotDog can't give you content, which is
usually provided by clients, but it can give you speed, precision
and control over how you manage the download times and keep your
hard-earned visitor glued to your website and keep your client
delighted.
Once you've got your copy of HotDog 7, open up your favorite
website files and select Format | Document Properties (for speed
simply press ctrl-shift-d) and select ‘Document Size’ from the
tab. For precision you can select from all the most popular
modem, broadband and cable-modem speeds and you will instantly be
given the total download time in seconds. What’s more is that it
also takes images into consideration too! Over a short period of
time you will begin to remember how long it will take to download
a web page according to its ‘weight’, or document size. You will
then find the document weight is always displayed in the bottom
right corner of the editing window - simply click on it and see!
These combined features are just another way that HotDog 7 keeps
control where it belongs - directly with you.
Another way I use this feature is when I want to tell my visitors
how long it would take to download specific files from my
website. All I do is open a blank page in HotDog, make a suitable
HTML reference for the file and the Document Properties tells me
how long it would take! I've made it even quicker and easier
because I've saved this file and now I just change the name of
the file that I'm checking out!
With speed, precision and control just a single click away, why
don't you try HotDog 7 now?
